Solitary Surrender

When your will is whispering in the wind
You will know
When your strength is drowning in the sun
You will know
When all God’s meaning seems too shallow
And vain
You will know, the creed that heals the pain

When your smile lays placid in the cave
You will know
When your words are tepid with grief
You will know
When all God’s magic seems to hollow
And insane
You will know, the faith that cools the pain

When all God’s meaning seems too lonely
Solitary
You will know, the joy you always carry
